Week 6: Developing Interactive Prototypes and brainstorming for project 2
Developing Interactive prototypes
This past week I worked on a interactive high fidelity prototype using the Marvel Pop application. It was a very valuable experience for many reasons. Firstly, This activity showed me the powerful capabilities of being able to create an interactive prototype that you can use to validate design choices. Secondly, it gives the design and technical teams a clear plan of how the entire UX will work. More importantly, marvel pop makes this process painless so more emphasis is on feel and details rather than getting software to work. Finally, a storyboard has no comparison to an interactive prototype in terms of immersion and representing the end user experience. Below is the marvel pop prototype.
Thinking about project 2
My goal for project 2 is to actually create and app that solves a problem that I and many others face. I am currently using the website Kaggle to collate and identify datasets that will work for my project. Iām also relying on my experience of building native iOS apps from a developer perspective to inform my design and brainstorming decisions. I look forward to showing what datasets have caught my attention and how my technical experience could help my peers with their brainstorming process.
